I would like to see a study - not that this is easily accomplished, of course - of players still in the NFL 3, 4, or 5 years after they came out of college. There are so many draft busts, and 6th-rouders who don't make the team and undrafted free agents who do make the team. Granted, perhaps how a player evolves as a professional is less indicative of his conference's strength than how NFL teams perceive him as he is making the transition. But still, it feels like every time I turn on the TV to watch a game, there's two ACC guys starting on both sides of the ball for both team. The players who stick are the ones who count in my opinion. Also, were data available on the non-AQ conferences so we could compare to see how much better are the AQconferences really? Great article. Happy Thanksgiving!
