Please click on dashboard for full size version.
This dashboard is designed for anyone using Amazon Web Services' S3 storage service. Based on the logs generated by S3, it provides analytics and graphing.
Dashboard views included are:
- Top Traffic sources (where do the users come from)
- User statistics
- Top Files
Benefits: charting Amazon S3 data in a graphical metaphor similar to Google Analytics, with a predominant time series based chart, gives user insight into:
- Costs associated with data sources
- Places where shrinking files or hosting them elsewhere can be beneficial
- Drivers of file use (either webpages or user characteristics)
How this is built
Using SiSense's Prism product, which allows for a drag and drop creation of dashboards and deep analytics (top ten lists etc). SiSense connects directly to SQL, MySQL, Excel, Oracle, Amazon S3 logs and Google spreadsheets. SiSense is offering its users a free pre-customized Amazon S3 dashboard here (http://www.sisense.com/amazonS3.aspx), which requires connecting to Amazon's S3 service and downloading the logs. The dashboard will become immediately populated. SiSense's product, which can connect to the data sources mentioned above and which can be used to create any dashboard above them is downloadable at http://www.sisense.com
