Dundas Data Visualization today announced its involvement and support of Microsoft Corporation’s newest cloud-computing venture, Windows Azure Marketplace. The pairing of reliable third-party data and an award-winning business intelligence and dashboarding platform provides a level of data depth and context never previously available.
The specialized data connector created by Dundas allows clients to harmonize their enterprise data with outside-world data through DataMarket, yielding much richer, more valuable information.
"Without proper context, business metrics are meaningless and sometimes misleading," said Ayush Yash Shrestha, head of Dundas’s Professional Services Group. "The existence of a trustworthy, one-stop data shop means that solutions built with Dundas Dashboard can now introduce comprehensive context to business metrics easily, to give users more insight, more detail and more value. At the same time, having solid data and KPIs in place is of limited value when used with platforms that don’t allow them to be visualized in an optimal manner. For these two reasons, the symbiotic value that Dundas Dashboard and Windows Azure Marketplace lend one another cannot be understated."
This relationship was made public at Microsoft PDC 2010, an event focused on convening leading-edge developers and architects and announcing major platform decisions.
