Enterprises and Customers Gain Deeper Insight from Data Queries Across Disparate Sources

Marlborough, Mass. and San Mateo, Calif. — April 13, 2010— Netezza Corporation (NYSE: NZ), the global leader in data warehouse, analytic and monitoring appliances, and Composite Software, the leading data virtualization middleware provider, today announced that they are working together on data federation offerings that simplify, accelerate and optimize integration of enterprise data stored on Netezza’s TwinFin™ appliances and other data sources.

“Composite Software’s agile integration approach is consistent with Netezza’s strategy for solving complex enterprise-wide challenges including global federation,” said Phil Francisco, vice president, Product Management and Product Marketing at Netezza. “Together we are working towards offering solutions for high-value data integration projects to benefit from the performance customers’ have come to expect from Netezza.”

“Our large enterprise customers are choosing Netezza appliances to manage their data warehouses and data marts” said Robert Eve, executive vice president of Marketing at Composite Software. “Composite’s data virtualization middleware integrates Netezza-managed data with other data sources giving users an enterprise view of their information with none of the risks, high costs and delays associated with monolithic enterprise data warehouse projects.”
