Star Analytics announces solution to reduce finance systems costs and complexity to better enable business intelligence

by Lyndsay WiseWednesday, April 08, 2009

Star Analytics, a provider of financial data integration and automation software targeted to CFO and financial systems, has announced the release of their new solution Star Finance Command Center. The solution automates tasks and centralizes a company’s financial processes across the organization to lessen redundancies and to provide a single source of reporting and analysis for an organization’s financial systems.  Targeting Hyperion/Oracle applications but easily accessible by multiple source systems, the solution is able to access data located in multiple disparate systems to monitor workflow and increase operational systems.  Because many financial systems require IT management and financial expertise, Star Finance Command Center enables organizations to automate processes that would otherwise be done manually to provide better control of the systems from both a finance and a technology point of view. In addition, business intelligence applications can be developed on top of the solution to help increase the speed of delivery and integration among sources.

Some of the features of the new solution include:

  • A centrally controlled, secure software platform that lets Finance IT monitor and automate the workflow of finance systems
  • A single interface to link, schedule and monitor processes across multiple business intelligence and operational systems
  • Predefined library of finance widgets to simplify common tasks
  • User/role based security access controls (read, write, execute)
  • Easy migration path from existing scripts, processes and scheduler

In addition to the features and functionality that allow Star Analytics solutions to automate financial processes and centrally manage scripts and tasks, this solution also allows organizations to set controls and reduce risk. With the increasing focus on meeting compliance regulations, creating governance programs, and reducing risk, a solution that provides the ability to centralize information across the organization, manage that information, and push that information towards reporting and analysis solutions can help organizations better manage their overall infrastructure and create more efficient business processes.
