SEATTLE - October 6, 2008 - Webalo, Inc. today announced that, for the first time, users of the Microsoft® Business Intelligence (BI) platform can easily access business reports on any mobile device. This makes available real-time, critical business information without the need to program custom solutions or reports.

This capability is made possible by the newly released Webalo Mobile Dashboard for the Microsoft BI suite. The Webalo Mobile Dashboard can transform, without complex reprogramming, SQL Server, PerformancePoint, SharePoint, or Excel content into easy-to-read, easy-to-navigate mobile displays that conform to whatever brand or model of handheld device being used.

According to Gartner, Inc., the 2007 market for business intelligence was just over $5.1 billion, with Microsoft BI steadily gaining market share over the past few years. Since Webalo is the only solution to deliver many kinds of business intelligence on any mobile device, the Mobile Dashboard has a very large business opportunity.

Our goal is to make it possible for any mobile professional to have access to exactly the information they need on any kind of device, said Peter Price, president and CEO of Webalo, Inc. "Our intent is to mobilize this sizeable market to enable business executives to keep pace with the hyper-speed of business today."

Says Nils Rasmussen, founder and president of Solver, Inc., a leading a performance management and business intelligence solutions provider, Up until now, providing access to critical business information on different mobile devices has required unique programming for each device, and for each underlying BI platform. Webalo has eliminated that nearly insurmountable problem. Added Rasmussen, This is particularly important in todays tight economy, when timely business decisions are even more critical to companies success than ever in the past.

The Webalo Mobile Dashboard for Microsoft BI works on RIM operating system 4.0 or above, Windows Mobile 2003 (PPC Edition), Windows Mobile 5 (both PPC and Smartphone Editions) or Windows Mobile 6 (all versions), and Java-enabled MIDP 2.0 smartphones. The Mobile Dashboard is available as a hosted service or an inside-the-firewall appliance.

About Webalo

Webalo technology transforms enterprise applications and data to make them compatible with mobile devices. This eliminates the need for traditional custom programming, reducing the deployment of mobile applications from weeks or months to, in most cases, less than a day. The resulting "anywhere, any time, on-demand" availability of enterprise data on handheld devices turns such devices into viable alternatives to desktop, laptop, and palmtop computer hardware, and lets mobile employees work more productively on the spot to solve problems, answer questions, monitor operations, close sales, and make informed decisions.

The Webalo Mobile Dashboard Service available both as a hosted service and as a behind-the-firewall appliance lets non-IT business administrators securely specify the content of mobile-accessible information, and the companion Webalo Proxy Server configures it, in seconds, to conform to the native user interface of any BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian, or Java-enabled smartphone. Webalo's technology transforms the role of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) into a User Oriented Architecture, enabling Web services to communicate with users as effectively as they communicate with other system services.

Software vendors and system integrators such as Actuate, IBM, Nokia, and RIM are working with Webalo to enhance both their service oriented business applications and their mobile devices. Los Angeles based, Webalo is privately held and was founded in 2000. For further information, visit www.webalo.com.
