DataFlux, a leading provider of data management solutions, today announced it has appointed Mazhar Leghari as senior director of market strategy. Leghari’s primary responsibilities will include delivering strategic insight for product marketing, field enablement, sales support, demand generation and business development, leveraging his deep experience in master data management (MDM) market expansion.
Leghari comes to DataFlux from Oracle, where he spent five years as a solution architect and product manager for MDM, focusing on business development, go-to-market strategy, partner development and competitor analysis. Leghari previously worked with Siebel prior to its acquisition by Oracle as a regional architect specializing in CRM industry solutions, customer data integration, data migration, data quality and solution architecture.
“Mazhar is an incredible addition to our marketing team,” said Katie Fabiszak, vice president of marketing and international operations of DataFlux. “His depth of experience in observing and influencing MDM market strategy gives him a unique perspective on leveraging our platform’s competitive advantages. Mazhar understands our position in the enterprise data management space and the strengths of our technology.”
At DataFlux, Leghari will be responsible for building the strategy to connect customer needs to the appropriate DataFlux products and services. He will also utilize his knowledge of the MDM market to promote DataFlux qMDM – the company’s MDM platform built on award-winning data quality technology. In addition, Leghari has been tasked with evangelizing the importance of the collaboration of business and IT within a wide variety of data management programs.
“There has never been a time when business and IT need to work so closely together,” Leghari said. “Treating data management as an IT-only initiative has proven to be an inadequate approach. I am excited to share how the DataFlux Data Management Platform combines the IT and business functions of data management in a single solution.”
The Data Management Platform allows organizations to plan, implement and monitor data-centric projects – and extend them across the enterprise – to enable better decisions based on more accurate and trusted data. With its intuitive interface, the platform gives organizations a single point of control to manage data quality, data integration, MDM or any other enterprise data initiative.
“The data management market is still evolving and will continue to go through a period of transition,” said Leghari. “There is a clear market gap in providing autonomous data quality-driven data management capabilities. DataFlux has its roots in data quality and uses that experience and expertise to handle data-related challenges from across the enterprise.”
