Jitterbit, the leading provider of powerful, flexible and easy-to-use application and data integration software, today announced the appointment of George Gallegos as its new CEO. Entering on the heels of the company's best quarter ever, Gallegos will steer Jitterbit through its next stage of growth as a technology leader in the on-premise and cloud data integration market.
"George has intimate knowledge of the integration space, exemplary performance while at Cast Iron Systems and a history of high velocity sales growth and service delivery," said Sharam Sasson, founder and executive chairman of Jitterbit. "His unique talents and experience make him the ideal CEO at the right time for Jitterbit -- he'll leverage our strong momentum and aggressively deliver results that build on our rapid trajectory in the hot on-premise and cloud integration space."
Gallegos brings more than 20 years of software leadership experience and was most recently a founding member of C3, a Tom Siebel venture focused on energy and carbon management. Previously, Gallegos was vice president of worldwide sales at Cast Iron Systems, leading global field operations for the integration appliance vendor. Delivering the company eight consecutive record quarters totaling 285 percent growth, Gallegos was integral in positioning Cast Iron for its acquisition by IBM. Prior to Cast Iron, Gallegos was a regional vice president at Oracle Corp., focusing on CRM applications for Oracle's top 250 accounts, and where he received the coveted Vice President of The Year Award. Prior to Oracle, Gallegos spent eight years at Siebel Systems where he served as regional vice president and led some of the most successful sales teams in the history of Siebel Systems.
At Jitterbit, Gallegos will focus on strategic channel partners and continued market-leading product innovation to expand the company's share of the integration market, which has recently seen a void as result of multiple acquisitions. "I am thrilled to be joining Jitterbit. The growth of hybrid on-premise and cloud infrastructures has created unprecedented demand for flexible, cost-effective and easy to use application integration solutions," said Gallegos. "We have the most impressive integration technology on the market, a strong team, and hundreds of reference-able customers. IBM's acquisition of Cast Iron has created a void in the market and my immediate challenge is to scale the organization's lean and agile approach in order to speed the trajectory of our leadership in the space."
