Revolution Analytics, the leading commercial provider of software and support for the popular R statistics language, today announced a technology partnership with Jaspersoft, makers of the world's most widely used Business Intelligence (BI) software. The companies are now delivering RevoConnectR for JasperReports Server, a free download on Jaspersoft’s community site, JasperForge.org, that allows joint customers to visualize and embed Revolution R Enterprise analytic models inside JasperReports Server for even greater operational business insight.
Revolution Analytics builds on open source R, the world’s most powerful statistics software, to deliver predictive analytics to the enterprise. Jaspersoft provides the most flexible and cost-effective BI suite in the world, enabling better decision making through highly interactive, web-based reports, dashboards and analysis. The companies complement each other in the emerging Data Analytics Stack, and this partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to partner up and down the data stack to provide users with an integrated offering capable of storing, sorting, analyzing and presenting large data sets.
“Jaspersoft offers its customers the best in open source business intelligence and partners with companies who are also clear leaders in their fields,” said Andrew Lampitt, Jaspersoft Senior Director of Technology Alliances. “As a community effort, R has grown into the standard for statistical analysis and Revolution Analytics has emerged as the leading commercial entity delivering robust, enterprise-ready R. This partnership follows on our joint vision to bring R into the broader business intelligence mainstream.”
RevoConnectR for JasperReports Server is a Java library interface between JasperReports Server and Revolution R Enterprise’s RevoDeployR, a standardized collection of web services that integrates security, APIs, scripts and libraries for R into a single server. By accessing Revolution R Enterprise from within JasperReports Server, and specifically iReport, enterprise users can build custom dashboards and reports, as well as securely integrate R data and analysis with web-based gadgets, applications and BI tools.
“This partnership provides a wider audience of business users with seamless access to advanced analytic capabilities,” said Jeff Erhardt, Revolution Analytics Chief Operating Officer. “Jaspersoft delivers the modern infrastructure companies need to execute better BI. Using Revolution R Enterprise within JasperReports Server will help our joint customers make more informed, successful business decisions.”
