This looks like a good list for me to keep in mind as I start my new class in Business Intelligence and look for for ways to apply my career mission of finding and using technology to help businesses and their people be more productive and spend their time doing what they're best at.
I certainly agree with Big Data Gets Really Big. I've been looking at some of the newer open source "toys" that are able to scour and weave through huge data sets efficiently and will be thinking of how they can be used for practical benefit. Imagine all the time and motion data just from one person wondering around Walmart with a GPS enabled cart linked with a template of the store so the marketers can know how much time I spend in what area, the order I shop for things, etc. the dozens of times I go to the store, matched with my shopping club data times 50 millions of customers. Hmmm....
